Are you ready to design your future?Be our next Structural Designer/Engineer Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Guam team, based in our office in Guam, a U.S. Territory What a day at EXP has in store for you
- A mid-level engineering position capable of performing/ structural analysis and design work
- Familiar with a wide variety of structural analysis and design software.
- Conduct existing surveys and document the main structural systems and existing connections.
- Perform analysis and design of structural systems for a variety of buildings and materials using building codes.
- Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, and completion of projects with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
- Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
- Assist in the development of project specifications.
- Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
- Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
- Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
- Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
- Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from a US accredited university required (Master’s degree preferred)
- 2-6 years of experience
- Good ability at using structural analysis software.
- Experience with existing structures, building modification, and/or restoration a plus.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, is required
- Proficiency in REVIT, is required
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs is required
- Optimizing work processes by using knowledge of the most effective and efficient ways to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Independently progresses the majority of designs and tasks required of the discipline.
- Exhibiting a thorough understanding of the application related to engineering, geometric and algebraic principles.
- Managing time, proactively forecasting, and communicating project development needs.
- Federal Project Experience is a plus
