The Intern ExperienceR+C is seeking an eager-to-learn Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our team for summer 2023. In thisrole, you will have the opportunity to learn from our team of highly regarded geotechnical engineers whileworking on a variety of interesting and prominent projects. As an intern, you will gain firsthand experience inanalysis, design, and construction administration and will be exposed to a wide variety of engineering tasks,including but not limited to:

  • Understanding the practical aspects of Geotechnical Engineering
  • Assisting with field reconnaissance and planning of field exploration
  • Assisting with compiling geotechnical data, preparing boring logs, and developing subsurface profiles
  • Performing geotechnical analysis involving slope stability, liquefaction, and capacities of foundations
  • Supporting the preparation and development of geotechnical reports
  • Attending site visits during the construction phase of various projects
  • Assisting with other project-related deliverablesThe intern program also includes mentoring, educational seminars, construction site visits, and company socialevents. This paid intern program lasts for 10 weeks between June and September; exact dates are flexible.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal candidate will bring the energy and enthusiasm needed to be part of our fast-paced geotechnicalteam environment, as well as the following desired qualifications:• Enrolled in Master’s Program in Geotechnical Engineering or Geosystems Engineering• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

  • Course work in soil mechanics, engineering geology, and foundation engineering
  • Basic knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proof of COVID vaccination to attend in-person meetings or jobsites
