Entry-level bridge engineer

Sustainability and innovation are at the heart of all of our sectors which, in North America include Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water. Mott MacDonald is looking for a dynamic and eager entry-level bridge/structural engineer to join our highly growing-team in Raleigh, NC.Responsibilities include bridge and structural design, contract document development, and technical writing. 

• Assists in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for project. 
• Compiles and computes a variety of engineering data. 
• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria. 
• Performs structural analysis and design of bridge and transportation structures using industry standard analysis and design software programs. 
• Assists in the preparation of quantity take-offs/calculations, preconstruction unit cost development and cost estimates / engineer’s estimates for projects. 

 The ideal candidate must have a BS or MS in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in bridges/structures, and 0-3 years of design experience. 

• Ability to collaborate in a team setting with a positive attitude. 
• Willingness to think creatively and participate in a variety of projects. 
• An EIT certification is preferred. 
• Experience and familiarity with highway or rail bridges is preferred. 
• Knowledge of MicroStation is required and familiarity with OpenBridge is preferred.
