As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
  Join our innovative and growing team as a CADD Technician and play a pivotal role in transforming designs into reality through your technical expertise and precision. Our Civil Land Development team has an immediate need for a drafter to assist engineers on various project types, including: site design, storm water design and subdivision plans. The ideal candidate would be at entry level and looking to enjoy a varied and progressive career in design with our team.
Because our employees are usually involved in several projects at one time, involving numerous team members (such as project manager, engineer, and CADD technician), exceptional communications skills and the ability to work well with others are essential.
CADD  Technician duties include: 

  • Learning and maintaining the drafting standards as established by the senior project technician.
  • Assuring the maintenance and storage of drawing files for active projects.
  • Preparing various land development plan drawings, including site layout, grading, and utilities
  • Learning and assisting with site layout, zoning plans, site grading and stormwater calculations submissions. 
  • Utility and road design (including grading). 
  • Assisting with completion of applications and reports.
  • Responsible for staying current with the latest developments in CAD, with assistance of a CAD Manager. 

  Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D 
  • Technical degree in drafting or related course work.
  • Experience in land development projects a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work at a computer/desk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to satellite offices or job sites.
