As our new Head of Department for Rail Systems, you will lead 30+ dedicated and passionate employees based at our offices in Oslo and Trondheim, and be part of the management team in both our international Rail Division and the local Norwegian Transport division. You will be part of a professional, established, and committed Rail Systems business community with more than 300 people. You will play a central role in the future development of Ramboll Rail.We currently work on projects both nationally and internationally. Our portfolio includes Bybanen in Bergen, redesign of Narvik station, Brynsbakken and Oslo Metro as well as smaller projects in the region. The department works on large multidisciplinary projects where you will get the chance to work with colleagues across the organisation.Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Instill purpose and set the direction for the Rail Systems department and  together with the section leads  manage operations and implement good governance.
  • Further develop and grow our rail business in Norway and internationally.
  • With in-depth industry and market knowledge maintain a client focus and take the lead on strategic work winning and business development activities  to develop the business.
  • Set and deliver strategy and annual business plan.
  • Act as role model and ambassador for the Rambøll fundamentals

  • Knowledge and experience within the rail industry in Norway
  • Experience as a consultant will be an advantage
  • Project management experience
  • A keen interest in good management and leadership, preferably with some experience
  • The ability to communicate in Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish as well as the ability to read and write in English.
