Taylor Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to work remotely or in any of our Florida locations (Jacksonville, Tampa, or Destin) with 10+ years of flood risk management experience for a leadership opportunity within our growing water resources group.The position requires a strong background in water resources engineering, solid project management, and proven leadership skills.Duties and Responsibilities

• Project Leader for large group of professionals
• Develop and solidify business relationships with both public and private clients
• Communicate with various municipality, subcontractors, and government agencies
• Oversee the development of technical reviews and submittals including letters, technical reports, figures, and tables
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers on projects; train personnel on latest software/methods; guide quality control standards

Requirements

•  B.S. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related engineering field), with emphasis in water resources. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a FEMA Badge, which includes a background investigation for a Public Trust position.
• 10+ years of experience in water resources with at least 8 years of leadership experience
• Energetic and innovative leader with the ability and desire to mentor
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Water resources and floodplain management experience
• Knowledge of FEMA programs and procedures

• Possess effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and spot issues in complex technical, scientific, abstract information, designs, and diagrams

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to (35) pounds unassisted
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Possesses acceptable vision (with or without corrective lenses) to be able to see and navigate a computer screen
• Ability to go out into the field and construction sites
