Job Summary

We’re seeking a Project Controls Manager with heavy Project/Program Management oversight and strong knowledge of Design Bid Build and Progressive Design Build methods. This individual will also have experience with implementing and maintaining PMIS tools with an emphasis with e-Builder or Unifier experience. The successful candidate will join a team of knowledgeable and supportive program and project controls professionals to apply their related knowledge as well as perform technical support of large Capital Improvement Programs.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Project Controls/Program Management

  • Heavy Project/Program Management oversight with strong knowledge of Design Bid Build and Progressive Design Build methods.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders and colleagues while maintaining composure in rapidly changing environments, adjusting priorities and approaches as needed to meet evolving demands.
  • Oversee program controls operations for month-end financial close and preparation of timely/accurate reports & variance analysis, providing key stakeholders with valuable insights into contract performance.
  • Maintain, analyze and interpret financial projections and progress data to support programmatic decision-making and forecasting; provide feedback for actionable opportunities.
  • Support the project managers and project teams as needed in monitoring and interpreting KPIs and related actions for effective management of scope of work, budget, timeline, change orders and risk, to ensure successful completion of the project.
  • Perform as integral member of the Project Controls Team, contributing program / projects controls expertise for efficient and effective PMIS infrastructure.
  • Coordinate technical, analytical, and professional duties related to the PMIS tools, software troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and systems integration, business processes, project management, and staff/customer support.
  • Function as a liaison with third-party vendors to ensure the project needs are effectively achieved with minimal disruption due to system patches and upgrades.
  • Gain full understanding of data and business intelligence report design and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-program teams to gather and analyze data, identifying areas for cost optimization and improvement.
  • Understand the programmatic operating processes, cost flows and financial tracking systems. Mentor and coach other members of the controls team in support of quality inputs and outputs from the PMIS tools.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate internal controls and policies as well as any applicable regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, finance or related field with 15+ years of progressive project controls experience in PM/CM services for aviation, civil, and/or vertical structures projects.
  • Expert analytical skills and high degree of organization and business acumen.
  • Expert level competency in all Microsoft Excel and proficient use of other MS Office products, e-Builder, Unifier, and/or other commercially available project control software; Working knowledge of SAP or other major ERP.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera 6 (P6) software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with all levels of management and professionals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong experience with multiple project delivery methods including progressive design-build.
  • Deep awareness and understanding of project controls and PMO best practices.
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and diffusing tense situations among team members or stakeholders, promoting a harmonious work environment.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $119,900- $215,900 annually for this position and local market.
