With hundreds of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), survey, mapping and IT professionals in our Geospatial Practice across North America, Michael Baker International possesses in-house experience and resources to support all elements of your program needs, including: needs analysis, digitizing/data conversion, customized mapping applications, and systems documentation, implementation, and training.DESCRIPTIONMichael Baker International is seeking a Survey Project Manager to support our Southern California Survey Practice!Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Organizing and coordinating projects, which include a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of surveying/mapping. Use of various databases to process field data
  • Support survey team by completing technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals
  •  Research and analysis of title reports, ROW/E, easements, topography, and mapping
  • Perform survey calculations, analysis, and field support calculations
  • Experience in reading plans and preparing construction calculations and verification reports.
  • Knowledge of common boundary establishment methods and analysis
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 7+ years of experience in all phases of surveying and have public mapping experience (record of survey maps, legal description and exhibits, etc.)
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in California a plus but not necessary 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center, Star Net and Carlson a plus.
  • Due to the nature of our projects, a working knowledge in Microstation and Inroads are a plus but not mandatory

COMPENSATIONThe salary range for this position is $110,000-$140,000.   This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based upon corporate and individual performanceBENEFITS
