Laurel, New Jersey office.  This individual will assist with ongoing field and engineering design efforts related to storm water management, site development and redevelopment, and water and wastewater engineering.  The selected candidate will work closely with the senior leadership in the Mt. Laurel NJ office and elsewhere.  The ideal candidate will also have experience with environmental engineering work, especially remedial action design.   Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist Project Managers with small to large design projects within technical specialty.
  • Support other GEI offices in delivery of professional services.
  • Support stormwater design and permitting projects in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
  • Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters and memoranda.
  • Develop design and construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents and project schedules.
  • Develop and meet project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.  Represent GEI in communications and conferences pertaining to areas of specialty and other assignments.
  • Travel to project sites and other offices as required, including periodic overnight travel. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering 
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience.
  • Engineer-In-Training or Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well alone and in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to assist with building strong client relationships and a desire to obtain new business.
  • Ability to travel on temporary assignments as necessary, including field assignments.
