Job Description

Summary/Objective EnviroSmart dba ES Integrated is actively searching for a motivated individual to fill a Construction Technician position with a background in Environmental Construction and Remediation that has performed work on HAZWOPER, Environmental, Construction and/or Industrial sites. Resume must demonstrate an experience level of at least 1-2 years performing the listed or otherwise related duties.Essential FunctionsDaily duties may include, but are not limited to, clearing, grading, SWPPP maintenance, stormwater, sewer, water, pump stations, concrete curb/gutter, concrete sidewalks, and asphalt work.  Maintenance/repair/operation of machinery, pumps and hoses, erosion control installation, handling waste drums, waste segregation, pressure washing, landscaping, mowing, masonry/concrete, assisting sample collection, painting, industrial cleaning, HDPE piping, and basic construction.  Must be able and willing to abide by and enforce all safety and quality policies and procedures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Certifications/Training/ Licensure

  • 30 Hour OSHA (preferred but will train)
  • MSHA (required but will train)
  • Class B CDL (Preferred but not required)
  • 40-HR HAZWOPER (Preferred but will train)
  • Forklift Certified (Preferred but not required)

Required Eligibility Qualifications

  • Clean Driving Record (must provide DOB, SS#, DL# & State upon request)
  • Able to obtain a form of identification compliant with the R.E.A.L. I.D. standards set forth by the federal government
  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
  • Pass DOD/DOE background check for site access/clearance
  • Pass pre-employment physical
  • Pass pre-employment and random non-DOT drug and alcohol screening
  • Graduation from a standard vocational or high school
  • Some experience as a trades’ helper, laborer, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in civil construction, site cleanup, industrial cleaning, or landscaping type activities
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and the ability to fulfill varying beginning and ending shift times
  • General site work and hand tool use skill
  • Demonstrate a safe working culture

Physical DemandsMust be able to:

  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in varying (extreme) temperatures, depending upon season
  • Must complete all pre and post training including safety, new hire, and regulatory

Hours of Work

  • Varies based on the project requirements. Some weekend or off hours work as required by the specific job

Travel

  • Some travel necessary dependent on contract requirements

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
