Arora and Associates, PC is seeking qualified applicants for the following position in the Chicago, Illinois area:Responsibilities:As a civil/traffic/transportation project team leader:
- Manage a team of engineers and planners working on the design of civil/traffic/transportation project for Illinois transportation agencies
- Manage design of multiple concurrent engineering projects for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
- Coordinate subconsultants
- Ensure compliance with company’s QA/QC plan
- Visit project sites to troubleshoot construction issues
- Communicate and coordinate with clients’ representatives
- Prepare technical and cost proposals
- Assist with business development in the civil/traffic/transportation engineering space
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation planning or equivalent
- 30 years of progressive experience including the responsibilities outlined above on projects for Illinois transportation agencies such as Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway, local agencies and planning organizations
- Knowledgeable about design standards, policies and procedures Illinois transportation agencies such as IDOT and the Illinois Tollway
- PE license in Illinois
- Strong presentation and written communication skills
