POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects.
- Field observation of structural steel welded and bolted connections.
- Write field reports documenting work performed confirming compliance status with contract documents.
- Additional tasks may include field testing of fireproofing, concrete, soils, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid CWI license
- Minimum of 3 years construction experience in the review of structural steel erection.
- Detailed knowledge of AWS and AISC specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and directions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Possess the physical strength and stamina to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 pounds as well as climb, bend, and stoop for extended periods and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- NDT Level II PT, MT and UT Weld Review Certifications
- ICC Welding and Bolting Certifications
- High Reach Equipment Operator Certifications
- Troxler Nuclear Density Gauge Certification
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
- EIFS Certification
- NICET (Soils, Asphalt or Concrete)
- OSHA 40 Hour Certification
