Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Who are we looking for?We're looking for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Geology Team to focus on continuing development and becoming professionally recognised in the industry.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Perform general geotechnical engineering tasks including design (data collection, processing, design calculations, data analysis, using software to undertake engineering design)
- Assist in delivering engineering solutions to the various projects across the service lines
- Lead design projects which will involve slope, road and foundation and coordinate calculations, reports, specifications and drawing
- Prepare design as per codes/standards and client’s specification
- Prepare program for field testing or site-based investigations, performing data analysis and evaluation
- Do oversight of site or field technical activities, field testing or investigations, including analytical set up and managing subcontractors
- Coordinates with other engineering disciplines for correct and proper execution of works
What you will bring to the team:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, where performance has met/exceeded expectation
- Applies knowledge of a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of technical practices demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business
- Registered/licensed/chartered Engineer status (if a requirement of the job)
- Sound knowledge of one or more of the following softwares: Autodesk, AutoCAD, SewerCAD, SwererGEMS, Revit, BIM, Robot, HEC HMS, InfoWorks, Surfer, MapInfo/Arc/QGIS, PVSyst, HOMER Strand 7, STAAD, HydroCAD, PCSWIMM, HEC-RAS, Microdrainage, TuFlow Flood Modeller Pro, ASHRAE, CAESAR II, PipeFlo, PipeFlo Compressible, PV Elite, Synergi Pipeline Simulator, Aspen Hysys, Plaxis, Slide. Emphasis on Plaxis experience.
- Team lead or supervisory experience (can also be one that's willing to be a Team Lead)
