Based in San Diego, California, you'll work on exciting and engaging Highway projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise. You will interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. You will solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects and serve as a best practice/quality resource. We also want you to engage, mentor and nurture younger engineers to become leaders like you.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10-12 years experience in transportation work with an emphasis on infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in California.
- Previous Department of Transportation (DOT), County, or Municipal experience.
- Strong Autocad/Civil 3d technical knowledge and experience.
- Deep knowledge of local and state codes and specs for public works projects.
- Wide experience with complete streets design and concepts.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Strong people’s skills, including effective communication, people mentoring, public speaking, and team management.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous Southern CA county or municipal experience.
- Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects.
- Strong engagement in local professional society (ies), preferably on the board of one society.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
