Job Description

Job Opportunity: Environmental/Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with projects involving shoreline and aquatic sediment cleanup, habitat restoration, and land remediation in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, including external partners and contractors.

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, construction, or a related field.
  • Degree in civil, environmental, geotechnical, or chemical engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license in Washington State (or ability to obtain within a year).
  • Necessary certifications/licenses such as HAZWOPER, CPR, and/or TWIC.
  • Valid driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • Salary range: $90K - $108K annually for candidates with 5 - 9 years of experience.
  • Quarterly performance bonuses, equity options.

  • 11 paid holidays and 20 days of paid time off annually.
  • Flexible work hours with core hours from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Onsite presence required 2 - 3 days per week, depending on proximity to the office.

  • Regional travel (within 3 hours) with expenses covered.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3 - 4 years of experience in remedial design and implementation (preferably shoreline and sediment projects).
  • 2+ years of experience with CADD and Civil3D.
  • Field experience with contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater.
  • Knowledge of Washington State environmental regulations.
  • Experience in preparing/reviewing remediation project plans and specifications.
  • Construction oversight experience.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies or clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site evaluations, remedial investigations, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, and specifications.

  • Coordinate with internal staff, partners, and contractors.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Receive mentorship and pursue professional development opportunities.
