Job Description
My client, a leading consulting engineering firm with an outstanding reputation, is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their growing structural engineering department. This role involves producing structural designs, analysis, and permit documents for various building types, including steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and wood structures. The position reports to the structural department manager.This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days of remote work.Priding themselves on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where employees are valued and respected. - Collaborate with the structural team to deliver engineering solutions and construction documents on multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
- Supervise and review the work of structural designers and sub-consultants.
- Design structural systems for multi-family, commercial, institutional, and manufacturing facilities.
- Manage client projects related to structural work.
- Coordinate technical project requirements with clients, project managers, designers, engineers, and other disciplines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
- Education: B.S. degree in civil, structural, or related field of engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineering (PE) licensure required, with the ability to become licensed in multiple states; Structural Engineering (SE) licensure preferred.
- Skills:
- Experience with various structural systems (steel, concrete, wood, masonry).
- Post-tension and podium design experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in REVIT preferred.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
