The successful candidate is one who has gained sufficient knowledge, experience, and judgment to independently plan, design, and implement multiple non-routine and complex projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Professional Engineer's License Required

Duties

  • Lead and direct projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriateness
  • Plan, coordinate and direct larger, more significant and/or complex engineering projects
  • Manage/solve technically complex problems
  • Implement advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices
  • Serve as technical specialist and staff advisor
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi discipline projects
  • Ensure consistent, professionally written communication with clients and other outside contacts
  • Direct proposal preparation and administer contracts
  • Schedule and budget projects, striving to make each project profitable
  • Supervision of engineering and support personnel
  • Develop staff and project engineers
  • Initiate and advance business development opportunities
  • Client development and retention
  • Participate in collections

QUALIFICATIONSEducation

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred

Experience

  • Eight (8) years of relevant, progressive experience


Certifications

  • Professional Engineer's License Required


Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
  • Must be comfortable communicating with the public
  • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.Triad Engineering is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that provides geotechnical and civil engineering, environmental services, land surveying, construction testing and monitoring services to a wide range of clients.
