You’ll have tremendous growth potential supporting the Ports and Maritime team in Hampton Roads in the delivery of complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction and will have exposure to our global portfolio of projects and design resources. As a Project Manager, you’ll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects across the Hampton Roads region and beyond. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global and local. Here's what you'll need• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering • At least 7 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm, out of which at least 3 years should be in project or task management • Experience in design or design management of waterfront projects or facilities • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and subject matter experts to deliver projects • Ability to manage the successful delivery contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables • Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external Ideally, you’ll also have:• Master’s degree in Engineering • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia (or ability to obtain in 12 months) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification • Experience in delivering successful ports & maritime or coastal resilience projects • Experience with cost estimating and services during construction.At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
