Work Environment We are looking for a Project Engineer Thermal to support efficiently the expansion of our activities in Energy. You will be involved in Thermal projects, covering engineering studies, Owner’s Engineering, and/or Engineering-Procurement-Construction Management assignments. You will evolve in an international environment, and you will work in close coordination with other teams throughout the company in order to deliver projects at the highest quality standards. You will be integrated in Tractebel Energy community, a worldwide network of Energy specialists keen on sharing their knowledge. All your missions have to be performed with the highest standards of Quality / Safety / Legal / Ethics. Missions
- You will report to the VP Thermal, T&D, Gas & Infrastructure.
- You share your expertise with your project team.
- You will utilize your best knowledge in Thermal power plant, and any technical skills to support all assignments including but not limited to power plant development projects (power plant conceptual design studies, feasibility studies and technical support); Lender engineer/Due diligence; Owner’s engineer projects; other Engineering projects; and other assignment from VP Thermal, T&D, Gas & Infrastructure.
- You will bring a direct support to the Project Manager for successful coordination of project.
- Under the guidance of the project manager, you will be able to monitor the planning, the budget, the safety aspects and the technical quality of the project.
- You will coordinate with Engineering disciplines' design reviews and the cooperation with involved Engineering units from abroad.
- You will ensure the follow up of the project, having a regular contact with the clients and/or contractors, complying with the quality and ethics standards of TRACTEBEL.
- You will think wide and with initiative to detect potential risks for the projects and propose mitigation measures.
- You will take part in the development of the team (expertise, innovation).

- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline from an accredited university.
- Min 5 years’ experience in Thermal power plant projects.
- Working knowledge in PPA, Permit & License, and EIA for power plant project would be a plus.
- Flexible, good at planning and organizing even in unexpected circumstances.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
- Independent and proactive.
- Good interpersonal skills, willing to learn, and good team player.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate regularly with customers, subcontractors, and vendors on technical topics.
- Good command of English, both verbal and written skills.
