Job Description

The importance of water to the health of our world can’t be overstated.  We're looking for a Senior Dams Engineer to join our WA Dams and Tailings Business Group.  As the frequency and intensity of floods, droughts and storms increases, the water industry must continue to build resiliency and lead from the front.  Together with our clients, we are thinking and doing things differently to help pre-empt and prepare for what's next.   • Involvement in a broad range of dams projects for a variety of uses including municipal, mining and agriculture 
  • Provision of technical delivery, with a focus on geotechnical, structural and/or design management skills
  • Active participation in client relationship management, business development, development of proposals, reports and technical analysis
  • Mentoring and developing of junior team members
  • Project Management, including leading studies, preparing proposals, forming and leading project teams to successfully deliver projects.

 What you will bring to the team:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in dams engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications
  • Knowledge of design of a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete
  • Experience in the delivery of dam safety and comprehensive surveillance reviews, dam break assessments and other associated monitoring and analysis
  • Knowledge of a broad range of elements which may include spillway design, dam design, design of outlets and intake towers, dam safety and risk assessments and construction phase experience
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical engineers.
