We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources. This role involves providing technical support role for complex projects within collaborative, multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver with a keen eye for detail, capable of interpreting and accurately extrapolating technical data to solve problems and create technically accurate communications.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and engage in a variety of Hydrology & Hydraulic studies and associated design documents for a broad range of clients. This is a full-time position and can be located in one of our 35+ offices or virtually. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will:
- Support projects involving Hydrology & Hydraulic (H&H) studies, including:
- Perform design calculations and create documents and design drawings using specialized hydrologic and hydraulic software.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams and nationwide company offices and client/project locations.
- Conduct routine data collection, synthesis, and analysis using discipline-specific approved procedures.
- Assist in identifying technical issues and approaches for evaluation.
- Become proficient with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Draft technical sections of project communications, work plans, and reports.
- Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
- Comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or similar.
- PE license or ability to obtain EIT/PE license within 2 years of hire date preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details.
- Experience with industry standard surface water modeling software is a plus, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and CAD, C3D, among others.
- Computer skills – Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong sense of urgency and self-initiative .
- Willingness to travel as needed to support clients, projects, and project team collaboration.
