YOUR IMPACT
As a Project Engineer you are part of a multidisciplinary team. Depending
on your interests, background and capabilities, you will work on new
construction and modification projects of our ships and equipment. You apply
new techniques and look for sustainable solutions.
Within your project team you are responsible for your own assignments in
technically challenging and innovative projects with a clear focus on quality,
costs and delivery time. You are involved in the entire project, from design,
engineering to construction, commissioning and delivery. You see your own ideas
become reality!
Our new construction projects include the largest Offshore Wind
Installation Jack-Up Vessel, the innovative Cable Lay Vessel and modern
dredgers. We also develop project-specific equipment. Examples include the
development and construction of a Subsea Drilling Template, Pile-Updending tool
for Offshore Wind projects, capacity upgrade of our Offshore Wind installation
vessels, and project specific modifications to our Subsea Rock Installation
vessels.
You guide the stakeholders and report on the progress to your project
managers. You will also:
Discuss the needs and possibilities of and with the internal customer;
Translate these customer needs into (the scope of) your project;
Guide and supervise during the construction and commissioning phase.
Your Workplace
We are looking for a project engineer for our Technology department within
the Ship Management Department, located in Rotterdam. This department is
responsible for developing, building and modifying our sustainable equipment
for Dredging, Offshore and Offshore Wind. As a project engineer you work
together with external parties such as engineering firms, suppliers and
subcontractors. You also communicate with the various parties involved in the project.
ABOUT YOU
You are proactive and you have the ability to improvise with creative
solutions. For this you also have the necessary strong communication and social
skills. You don't mind occasional international travel for work. In addition,
you have the following requirements:
You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Offshore Technology, Marine Technology, or similar;
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with
comparable equipment;
You master the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
