As project engineer, you will be involved in the offshore wind projects
from the beginning until the end. This position has a critical role in ensuring
the successful execution of offshore wind projects, from initial planning,
design to fabrication, construction, installation and handover to the client.
You will combine your technical expertise with project management skills.
Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate communication and
collaboration among various stakeholders.
Your job is dynamic and enhance working on projects that varies of
location. You can work on a foundation project on the North Sea or on a cable
project in the United States. Working on a project brings a lot of dynamic
aspects but with one end goal; constructing a project together. This gives a
close cooperation with the team members from the different disciplines.
The works during the preparation phase will be done from our Gorinchem
office. During the execution/ fabrication of the project, you will be part of
the team that support the execution/ fabrication of the works. The team could
be located in the country where the project is executed.
Your responsibilities
Prepare project execution plans and strategies, which are aligned with the
project goals and objectives;
Oversee technical design constructions, ensure compliance with standards
and optimize efficiency. Find solutions for technical challenges;
Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, stakeholders and interact with
multidisciplinary teams. Review and follow-up on in- and external
documentation;
Identify and mitigate operational, technical, and environmental risks.
Prepare and implement specific (working) methods with risk analysis;
Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders and manage
expectations.
In this roll you will report to the project manager or works manager.
Job requirements
A bachelor or master degree in mechanical- or civil engineering, preferably
in offshore wind, offshore engineering or maritime infrastructure;
Interest and affinity with the offshore (wind) industry;
Experience of supporting projects and managing external engineering and
suppliers;
A good command of English, spoken and written and strong communication and
social skills;
An independent, practical and creative person who can solve problems, dares
to take decisions and is able to work in a project team, with a flexible
attitude with regard to travel and work at project locations.
We offer
Working on a project could mean that you work on arrangement. Within
Europe, you will work 3 weeks at a project location and 2 weeks off. Outside
Europe, you will work 6 weeks and 4 weeks off. In addition we offer you:
