GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 5 to 15 years of experience to support our growing environmental site investigation and remediation practice in Bedford, NH. A strong academic record, project management skills, and related project experience including quantitative assessment of contaminant transport and fate experience are essential for this position.
As a Project Manager, you will be part of a team of professionals including Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals. You will work with a staff of interrelated professionals dedicated to providing our clients with state of the practice and practical solutions on complex projects. You will successfully execute all aspects of projects under the guidance of a company Principal. You will also represent GZA with the client throughout proposal, contract, and project performance phases, will be responsible for day-to-day execution of technical and financial aspects of each project, and will be involved with the development and mentoring of staff. Project Managers have leadership and ownership opportunities with the firm. Our solutions focused and collaborative culture will allow you to work on challenging projects and grow professionally. Key Responsibilities:
- Management of projects including site investigations, remedial investigations and design, and implementation of remedial projects
- Execution of day-to-day project activities of projects and managing project contractual and financial elements
- Client and regulator communications
- Preparing proposals and environmental reports
- Managing and mentoring staff of project-level scientists and engineers
- Conducting and reviewing technical analyses/calculations, including hydrogeological and contaminant transport and fate analyses
- Performing technical execution of projects with the guidance and support of Principals
- Design and execution of field investigation and remediation programs
- Preparation of reports, recommendations, plans, proposals, and schedules with Principal guidance and review
- Managing and mentoring of staff-level and project-level engineers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Hydrology, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or similar technical discipline. Master’s Degree strongly preferred
- Licensure as a Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer strongly preferred
- Five to fifteen years of related environmental site investigation and remediation project management experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
- Ability to train others
- Strong communication skills, problem solving and organizational skills
