Our Boston office prides itself on providing practical and innovative solutions to real-world engineering challenges. Typical projects include evaluation of temporary construction loads and building stability during construction, rigging and shoring design and erection engineering.The RoleWe are seeking a talented Structural Senior Project Engineer for our Construction Practice. Candidates for this role should have experience in medium to large-sized projects such as; cultural buildings, office buildings, health care, research facility design, and tenant renovation work preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment. Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials including various building codes.
- Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
- Preparation of construction documents within a BIM environment.
- Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
- Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
- Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons.
Requirements
- Degree in structural engineering.
- Working knowledge of current industry software, including SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Risa3-D, PCA Software, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally in Boston with some US travel.
