Job Description

No sponsorship is available for this position.We invite you to bring your experience and education into play as you assist Project Managers in our Environment and Health Market as a Project Management Assistant.  You will support project teams across a variety of client-facing projects, spanning product safety and stewardship, site investigation and remediation, due diligence, air quality, ecosystem services, and environmental permitting and compliance.To succeed in this role, the desire to work collaboratively with project teams to promote functionality and enhance project delivery is important.  The ideal candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, tech savvy, proactive, and strong in written and verbal communications.  The role will require an in-office presence in our Arlington, VA office (at least 2-3 days per week), and will provide support to project teams throughout the Health Sciences Spearhead and the South Region (including Atlanta and Raleigh). Your New RoleYou will join the Health Sciences Spearhead and the South Region Team within our Environment and Health MarketAs our new member of the team, your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist multiple Project Managers (PMs) in managing all activities related to the project life cycle, from proposal initiation through execution and closeout.
  • Interface with the legal and compliance departments to ensure Agreements and other contractual documents are thoroughly reviewed and any comments are adjudicated with the PM team and the client for execution.
  • Develop and coordinate subcontract agreements, as required, in accordance with Ramboll’s standard template.
  • Set up prospective project opportunities in CRM and work with PMs to update progress through the bid/proposal and project initiation process.
  • Work with project leadership to evaluate risks of projects and obtain required management approvals within Ramboll’s Project Model framework.
  • Help develop change orders, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and transmittals as well as maintaining logs to manage these documents.
  • Track project progress with respect to established milestones and budgets.
  • Support preparation of client and bid deliverables, including document formatting and finalization.
  • Assist PM with invoice preparation and reviews for approval and timely delivery to clients.
  • Serve as an early adopter of new internal processes and tools and onboard project teams on their appropriate use.
  • Provide support to the Arlington Office Manager for in-office business meetings or events as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or project management is preferred. Relevant college coursework or related experience will also be considered.
  • 2-3 years of prior work experience in a professional services organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Teams.
  • Experience with document management and storage systems, such as SharePoint, file management, and Client Relationship Management (CRM) applications, would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to adapt to the needs of different project teams and clients.
  • Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include being a team player and a confident communicator with the ability to support a diverse team of individuals to drive for results.
  • Clear and concise in written and verbal communications.
  • You must have a “Can Do” attitude and flexibility to adapt to ever changing priorities and varying project requirements.
