Job Description

DESCRIPTIONThe Project Manager will have the opportunity to work with key staff in our local offices and the region on marquee projects through our SCDOT Interstate Projects, Statewide Inspection and Engineering Services Contract, and SCDOT Secondary Bridge Replacement contracts, as well as complex, national signature projects.  Below are additional details:

  • Managers openly share technical knowledge and mentor and supervise engineers in assignments such as preparing studies, reports and supporting documentation; quantities and construction cost estimates; and construction drawings needed for Bridge projects.
  • The position requires defining scopes of work and fees; proposal production and implementing marketing initiatives; and ensuring project/task schedules and budgets are met. 
  • Professional opportunities include internal and external management and industry training; reviewing industry publications and training opportunities; and attendance at industry meetings. Occasional travel and field work may be required.
  • Independent management of bridge analysis, inspection, and/or design tasks and projects is expected.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Natural leader willing to champion a team of engineers and technicians
  • Talents in project management, including familiarity with CADD, bridge/structural design and mastery of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • 8+ years of experience in bridge analysis, inspection, and design 
  • Professional Engineer’s license in South Carolina, or ability to earn in 3 months

COMPENSATIONThe approximate compensation range for this position is 90 to 135K . This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
