We invite you to bring your professional engineering background and expertise within corrosion into play, when you become a part of our department and the Corrosion Competency Group!We are looking for an experienced engineer who has worked with and has a passion for corrosion protection of primarily concrete structures, together with an interest in material science and durability of construction materials.If you crave a challenging role but also flexibility and work life balance, this role may be ideal for you. The position will be based in our Ørestad office, but our hybrid work model allows you to split your time between working in the office and working from home.Joining our department Asset Management of Bridges and TunnelsAs our new Corrosion Engineer you will be a part of our Transport division. You will be joining a department with more than 20 dedicated colleagues in our Copenhagen Office in Ørestad. Ramboll has been intensively involved in corrosion protection projects from design to on-site measurements and operation and maintenance in many industries – such as infrastructure (bridges, tunnels and port structures), buildings (swimming baths, parking facilities), the offshore wind energy sector (foundations) and oil & gas (offshore structures and pipelines). Therefore, we have the insight and knowhow to assist in almost every aspect within corrosion. We are seeking a skilled engineer, probably with a background within Civil/structural, Mechanical or Electrochemical Engineering, to strengthen our corrosion competence group and our department in general.Your key tasks and responsibilities could include:

  • Inspections and field tests of corrosion problems of existing structures
  • Developing corrosion protection strategies
  • Design of cathodic protection on both new and existing structures
  • Corrosion monitoring
  • Operation and monitoring of cathodic protection

We primarily work with bridges, tunnels and port structures, but support other divisions working with buildings, offshore wind, water etc., so you will work with a variety of exciting structures and corrosion related projects.What are we looking for?At Ramboll, we support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point should be:

  • Min. 5 years of relevant experience
  • A Master/Bachelor’s degree within engineering and/or science or similar
  • Experience with deterioration of different construction materials
  • capabilities within corrosion analysis and cathodic protection of concrete structures
  • Experience with operation and monitoring of cathodic protection
  • Experience with inspections and field testing on concrete structures
  • Fluency in English, spoken as well as written
  • Ability to priorities multiple tasks, make independent decision and focus on detail
  • The ability to speak and write fluently in Danish will be an advantage but is not a requirement.
