What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Mountain West Bridge Group. This position will provide opportunities to:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing design skills and project management capabilities.
- Work on interesting and challenging projects, from planning through design and construction
- Perform structural analyses and prepare design sketches. Project types include new structures, structural rehabilitations, and/or seismic analysis and design.
- Assist in preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with draftspersons to develop contract plans.
- Participate in technical and project discussions with the design team.
- Grow to lead design tasks, participate in project management, interact with clients, and mentor new staff.
The Position
You will work in a fun and dynamic team to produce a range of deliverables from planning studies to construction documents and provide support to our clients during construction. Our group’s projects are primarily in the public works sector, with a broad range of project types. We are passionate about developing great engineers and project managers and do so by offering a variety of experiences, including mentorship and coaching. Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural
- MS in Structural Engineering preferred
- EIT Certification preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Strong technical and organizational abilities
