Job Description

  DescriptionFor more than 60 years, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., has provided the civil engineering needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast. We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, environmental scientists, planners and landscape architects with offices across New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. We are currently seeking a team-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Facilities group in Albany, NY.  Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting senior engineering staff with project site investigations;
  • Structural analysis and design;
  • Preparation of design reports;
  • Preparation of engineering drawings;
  • Production of specifications; and
  • Verification of construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications

This position requires frequent coordination and interaction with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, sub-consultants, and municipal officials.RequirementsCandidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and 0-8 years of applicable experience in the design of steel and concrete structures; experience with NYS Building Codes is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in technical writing and possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact within a project team and external clients. Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) in NY (or eligibility to obtain) is desired and experience in the consulting engineering field is preferred.
  Estimated Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000/year.Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
