Ardaman has the following opportunity available: GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIANOur newly opened Houston office has a full-time entry level position for a geotechnical engineering field technician to work on a wide range of geotechnical engineering activities including sampling/testing of soils, logging/observation of boreholes and test pits, instrumentation and field testing, and site visits to construction projects throughout the Houston and southeast Texas region. Typical duties require 80 to 90 percent of time be spent performing tasks at field locations. Experience a plus. Qualifications:Geotechnical drilling observation and field experience preferred but will be trained. Earthwork and/or concrete construction and CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing experience a plus but can be trained as well. Requirements include: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; a safe driving record; willing to work weekends and overtime as required; willing to work on out of town assignments as required; Candidate must be currently authorized to work in the United States and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have good math skills, have good organizational skills, a good attitude, get along well in a team environment and be safety minded in all aspects of his work. Individual should be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working outdoors in a wide range of climate conditions. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
