About the PositionWe are placing a Structural BIM Designer to join our growing Professional Design Team in Atlanta, Ga. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of related experience and is a confident self-starter. The successful candidate would work with our dynamic team while supporting and leading a range of multi-disciplinary projects.About Our TeamOur Professional Design team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world and our existing client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.Knowledge and Experience:
Degree is not required but special consideration
Basic understanding of how buildings are constructed.
Proficient and up-to-date in AutoCAD and REVIT Structure
Proficient with Bluebeam
Familiarity and interest in 3-D modeling innovations and supplemental programs
Proficiency with written and verbal communication
Proficiency with organizational skills
Ability to think in “3-D"
Work with Structural Engineers to deliver completed construction documents and assist in construction administration as required.
Utilize education and experience to independently develop and implement BIM/drafting standards for other BIM users
Work as a collaborative team member to develop construction documents and solve medium to difficult design challenges that arise.
Provide a high level of quality control of your work with minimal oversight.
Work within established budgets.
Train new employees on company BIM standards and drafting techniques
Qualifications:
- 4+ Years of Revit Experience
- Experience in an A/E/C Consulting Environment is a Plus
- Degreed/Licensed Engineer preferred, not required
- Must Have Extensive Experience Using VDC/BIM Tools- Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD
- Must be able to Train and Mentor Employees on Use of VDC/BIM Tools
- Prior Leadership Experience is a Plus

We anticipate filling this position as a Designer II with a salary range of $57,900.00 - $85,200.00 per year.
Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
