With 5-10 years of Structural Engineering experience, you will assist with the engineering design, evaluation and implementation of structures associated water and wastewater infrastructure, industrial, property and building and government/department of defense projects.In an ever changing world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead.We’re seeking the curious, those who are stimulated by fresh thinking and a desire to shape our communities in new, positive ways.As part of a truly global team, working on complex and rewarding projects, you'll be at the forefront of driving change.See what the power of commitment can do for you. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Performing design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons using analysis and design software
  • Preparing design calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural elements. 
  • Collaborating with architects, process engineers, and other design professionals to integrate structural systems into overall building and tank designs.
  • Design of Environmental Structures using ACI 350 (i.e. water retaining concrete tanks, foundations and concrete reinforcement)
  • Design of buildings structures (structural steel, masonry or wood), pipe racks/supports, and earth retaining structures.
  • Collaborating with multidiscipline teams, including Architects, Process Engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure effective project coordination. 
  • Conducting site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance with design intent and construction documents. 
  • Responding to contractor’s questions and preparing alternate designs as needed 
  • Performing structural assessments and evaluations of existing buildings and structures along with conducting condition assessments, load rating calculations and structural integrity evaluations.
  • Recommending and implementing appropriate retrofitting and rehabilitation strategies for existing structures. 

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering (or ability to obtain)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (RISA, RAM, STAAD, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards (AISC, ACI 318 and 350, Building codes, etc.)
  • Experience with a variety of structural materials, including steel, concrete, masonry and wood
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative and practical solutions
  • Involvement in professional organization preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Experience working on federal projects highly desired
