Job Summary
Our Northern CA Bridge team is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to produce design and structural details for bridge projects in accordance with Design Standards. The candidate will be responsible for assisting design and plan development tasks and performing structural analysis and design of a variety of structure types.
This position is for our San Francisco, CA office.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel bridge structures.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes.
- Develop scalable digital solutions for use on projects.
- Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct independent quality control.
- Ability to plan and schedule engineering work.
- Ability to respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Design Changes (FDCs), Contract Change Orders (CCOs), etc.
- Other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires a Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- California PE license or eligibility and willingness to pass PE test required.
- At least 4 years' bridge structural design experience with emphasis on bridge structures.
- Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design of various types of bridge structures.
- Proficiency in recognized parametric design/scripting software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, and/or Dynamo preferred.
- Proficiency in commercial analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Larsa 4D, and/or Sofistik preferred.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL or MS Access preferred.
- Experience in data visualization preferred.
- Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
TYLin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $109,400 - $136,700 annually for this position and local market.
