Geotechnical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Seattle, WA office. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:Geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses. Geotechnical report writing. Geotechnical field exploration and sample collection. Geotechnical construction monitoring and testing. Use engineering software tools including Slide, Settle 3D, gINT, and LPile. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Telecommuting is permitted. This role requires a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or closely related field. This position requires any amount of experience which can be gained through work experience or coursework at the Bachelor's level or higher with each of the following:
- Microsoft Word, Excel;
- Applying health and safety requirements to field work and design;
- technical writing and analysis;
- producing technical documents such as proposals, reports, and work plans; and
- Construction observations, including but not limited to: Shoring installations (soldier piles, ground anchors), Shoring testing (gund anchors), Deep foundation construction (augercast piles, drilled shafts, driven piles), Subgrade observations, or Nuclear density testing.
Up to 5% travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S. $83,616 to $95,264 per year.
