Our Los Angeles office is looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations, analysis and design of concrete and steel bridge structures and elements under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.
  • Prepare plans, specifications and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.
  • Conduct independent quality control and quality assurance reviews under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for development of engineering estimates.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations and designs in accordance with company production and design standards, and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
  • Other assignments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license in the Province of British Columbia.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with structural analysis and design of steel and concrete bridges and elements.
  • Experience in preparing engineering calculations, structural drawings, details and ability to prepare specifications.
  • Strong technical skills in structural analysis including seismic analysis, and design of various types of bridge structures. Experience with long-span bridges is an asset.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of design codes such as CAN/CSA S6, AASHTO, ACI, CISC, etc.
  • Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on time.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and engineering analysis and design software.
  • Knowledge of SOFiSTiK is an asset.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is an asset.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.

As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $86,900,00 - $130,300.00 annually for this position and local market.
