As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various bridge projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and work closely with clients to ensure project success.Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze bridge structures, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs, and structural calculations.
- Prepare technical specifications, construction drawings, and project reports.
- Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop efficient and cost-effective bridge designs.
- Perform site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and address any structural issues or concerns.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and advancements in bridge engineering.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 7+ years of experience in bridge engineering, including design, analysis, and construction oversight.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, MIDAS, or STAAD.Pro.
- Sound knowledge of bridge design codes and standards (e.g., AASHTO, Eurocodes).
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
