  We are looking for a motivated Structural Engineer, who is a forward thinker, proactive communicator and a bridge design expert, to join our team. For the right candidate, remote work or relocation to a community near any of our offices is available. We are interested in talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients.What you'll do
While you will provide bridge inspection and design services, you will actively develop and grow the structural engineering team. We are an innovative engineering and environmental consulting firm with plans to expand into more markets. Our next Structural Engineer must be familiar with structural components such as bridges, retaining walls and Department of Transportation design standards.We promote a team environment, so you'll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists and many more people. You should have leadership skills and be able to work autonomously.What it takes
A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a must. You should have seven to 11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures. You should be a licensed structural engineer in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin or demonstrate the ability to secure those licensures. You should know construction methods and materials and code requirements. You should know how to develop design and construction plans and use structural engineering software.You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills.
