Job Description
IME is looking for a self-motivated individual to lead our New Mexico geotechnical operations. Work will
include performing geotechnical and geological explorations on a wide array of geotechnical projects. The
majority of projects are anticipated to be located in New Mexico; however, some travel into adjacent
states is likely. Business development, supervising staff and the ability/desire to oversee a
soils/construction materials lab are required.
• Experience – 5 or more years as a professional engineer. Knowledge of near surface geologic
environments, with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering. Must be proficient with geotechnical
sample collection techniques and lab testing. Supervisory experience and project/financial
management ability is required.
• Education – M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education
from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered. Ability to obtain a
New Mexico P.E. is required.
• Compensation - Competitive salary with compensation dependent upon relevant education,
registration, certifications, training, and experience.
