Job Description

  Are we the road to your future? Volkert is employee owned and a Top 100 design firm, committed to delivering the future of infrastructure in three key areas of service: Design + Engineering, Planning + Environmental, and Program + Construction Management. We are currently searching for an experienced Structures CAD Designer/Drafter to support our East Gulf Region located in Mobile, AL. What you’ll be doing:

• Plan development production related to use of MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer/Modeler and/or AutoCAD platforms
• Implementation of CADD standards and familiarity of workspaces related to DOT and municipal clients and preparation of plans in accordance with these standards
• Apply engineering fundamentals, recommend design procedures, and prepare preliminary conceptual and detailed designs for engineers' approval
• Produce high-quality project deliverables on schedule within budgeted hours

What you need to have:

• 1 to 5 years CAD experience with specialization in preparing designs in the civil engineering field.

• Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, and other CADD add-on software packages is required
