As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering education, services and support to customers in innovative ways across our product lines. You will establish and maintain relationships with design professionals, specifiers and major contractors to provide technical support and obtain the specification of Simpson Strong-Tie product lines, with emphasis on Anchoring Systems, Connectors for Cold-Formed Steel Construction, Repair-Protection-Strengthening Systems lines and Structural Steel product lines. You will be a top-level contributor/specialist who will provide consultation on complex projects while performing a variety of tasks. You will work closely with sales team to identify and support closing of sales opportunities. This position is located in a major metro city in the state of Florida and service the states of FL, LA, MS and Southern AL.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)Provide technical support for our concrete anchoring, strengthening, and repair products to our customers and our staff. You will use your experience, product knowledge and training to develop solutions for a wide variety of applications. Establish and maintain relationships with design professionals, specifiers, and major contractors to obtain the specification of Simpson products. (60%)Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations involved in new construction and/or the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures, focusing on both general technical knowledge as well as the advantages and use of Simpson products.
