Job Description
Michael Baker International is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our 2023 spring/summer program. Positions are based in our Fort Washington and Philadelphia offices within the Highway/Roadway group.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
- Assist project managers and engineers with various tasks
- Draft details and make minor ACAD revisions
- Work under the supervision of a project manager or a senior level team member
- Assist with data collection, input, verification and manipulation
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited University or College; minimum of 1 year of coursework completed
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- College level engineering courses in Civil Engineering with a focus in Highway/Roadway design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CADD software
COMPENSATIONThe salary range for this position is $18 - $23 per hour. The highway and roadway system is a crucial part of that transportation system and is at the heart of services Michael Baker provides to our clients and partners. We work with entities to enhance and maintain roadways across the country to serve all modes of transportation. For nearly 80 years, we have helped to shape America’s highway network. We provide comprehensive highway planning, design and construction services from conceptual and preliminary engineering studies through final design, construction management, inspection and closeout.
