 Primary Responsibilities- Performing subsurface investigations and evaluations for developing geotechnical design recommendations- Assisting in the preparation of design plans and specifications for construction- Developing subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs- Performing shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability analyses, and subgrade evaluations- Assisting in design and development of soil and rock-cut slope designs- Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other reporting documents Keyword(s): Geotechnical Engineer or Geological Engineer 

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications- BSCE (Geotechnical Engineering) or a closely related field; master's preferred- PE or ability to obtain for natural career progression; candidates hired without their PE will have the title "Geotechnical EIT"- Ability to perform drilling inspection for PennDOT, PTC, WVDOH, and other governmental and private projects.- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Preferred Qualifications- PennDOT design experience- PennDOT Test Boring Inspection certification or short-term ability to take test- Minimum 2 years of geotechnical design experience- Experience with MS Office, gINT, STABL/Slide, LPILE, Slope/W, GRLWEAP, and DesignBuild- Preference given to local candidatesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
