Job Description
PND Engineers is seeking highly motivated summer Civil Engineering Interns to gain hands-on experience in a consulting engineering environment. Successful candidates will participate in some or all of the following activities:
- Assist in miscellaneous engineering office duties.
- Review shop drawings, calculations, drawing sets.
- Assist with project document control.
- Assist in field work, including inspections and studies.
- Assist in preparation and assembly of field reports and data using MS Excel and Word.
- Assist in geotechnical investigations and lab work.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion at least sophomore year curriculum in an ABET-accredited civil engineering program; college juniors preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, co-workers and contractors.
- Availability for a schedule of 40 hours weekly from Mon-Fri for the duration of the summer school break.
- A school transcript is required with application.
