LOCATIONIrvine FULL-TIME/PART-TIMEFull-Time EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPTNon-Exempt DESCRIPTIONLeighton, an award-winning engineering consulting firm in Irvine, is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.Pay Scale Staff Geotechnical Engineer: $50K-69K Pay Scale Sr Staff Geotechnical Engineer: $65K-88K Position Duties:
- Perform subsurface investigations for residential, commercial and public work projects.
- Review and summarize laboratory test data and report writing
- Perform field investigations using hollowstem auger and CPT rigs
- Perform engineering analyses for foundation designs, slope stability, and seismic hazards
- Review grading and foundation plans for conformance
- Perform or supervise field technician work
- Prepare design requirements, technical reports, and proposals
Requirements:
- BAchelor's or Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
- 1-5 years active field and/or laboratory engineering experience
- Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Valid drivers’ license and proof of auto insurance
