Job Description

You will play a key role in a wide variety of geotechnical engineering projects. Services will include in-situ testing supervision of field investigations, design and technical report preparation and field work management of small and large projects. You will also carry out various tasks and design functions such as geotechnical investigation, office works and construction inspection services. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations, site inspections and preparation of technical borehole records and field reports
  • Assisting senior staff for engineering analysis, design and reporting
  • Managing field works and sub-contractors
  • Assisting the geotechnical team in preparation of proposals, work plans and cost estimates
  • Coordination of and managing various geotechnical projects
  • Contribute to the overall strategic development of the group


  • University degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering (MS in Geotechnical Engineering considered an asset)
  • Eligible to Register with PEO as an Engineer-in-Training
  • Between 0 to 5 years' of relevant experience in the field of geotechnical engineering
  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of working with relevant software such as gINT, MS Office and Geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, etc
  • Experience with analysis (bearing capacity, settlement, seepage, slope stability etc.) considered an asset
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Strong work ethic, problem solving skills, self-initiative, and eagerness to learn continuously
