Join a team that’s working together with industry to deliver innovation for the long term on some of the most important and interesting projects around the world.Your OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Structural Engineer (Intermediate) to join our Oil & Gas group in the Bakersfield, CA office.Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish positive working relationships in a team environment
  • Coordination and collaboration within different disciplines and project teams
  • Prepare structural design criteria and calculations as per relevant structural codes and standards
  • Provide sketches of structure or support framing, connections, foundations, etc. and coordinate with CAD designers and drafters for the development of structural drawings
  • Coordinate, review, mark-up and backcheck structural drawings from conceptual to final IFC design package

QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in RISA 3D software and Excel spreadsheet calculations required
  • Familiar with the structural building codes and standards, particularly local and state building code regulations in California
  • Knowledge and experience in seismic analysis and design

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 5 years’ experience in industrial structural engineering and design (Oil & Gas or similar industry)
  • Engineer-In-Training in California (Licensed Professional Engineer in California a plus)
