We’re a place where you can apply your passion and collaborate with top talent on work that’s critical to our clients, our communities, and the industry at large.Your OpportunityAs a CAD Drafter you will work with close guidance and supervision on tasks for large and small projects in a team environment on a variety of Oil and Gas projects.This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energic individual who to challenge their abilities in a dynamuc work environment.Your Key Responsibilities

  • Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms noted below.
  • Able to follow and maintain different drafting standards.
  • Must be able to determine basic engineering calculations related to routine drafting problems such as stress, sizing, support, and flexibility.
  • May assist in determining bill of material and equipment list.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Will work closely with engineers, senior designers, Team Leads and Discipline Leads on assigned projects.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
  • You will be expected to support team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of our health and safety culture.

Experience drafting and basic knowledge of the following:

  • Understands and draws pipe (single & double line)
  • Reads and draws Isometrics
  • Understands and draws screwed and socket weld piping
  • Understands and can use coordinate systems
  • Understands and draws elevations and fitting dimension charts
  • Understands and draws valve types
  • Understands importance of and can draw and read Piping and Instrumentation Diagram
  • Complete understanding of layering standards
  • Understands and uses labeling, dimensioning, and callout standards
  • Creates section cuts/drawings from designer’s input
  • Understands inter-relationship of drawings
  • Understands make-up of typical drawing package
  • Basic math knowledge (scale conversions, geometry, basic trig.)
  • Can demonstrate proper CAD technique

QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials

  • Understands of 2D/3D model design environment and knowledge of CAD standards.
  • Basic knowledge of software programs with Autodesk and Bentley platforms including but not limited to AutoCAD, CADWorx, Microstation. Knowledge of PDMS desired.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Working experience in upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

Education and ExperienceTechnical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 years of experience.Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time.
