  • Lead small to medium-scale soil-structure interaction design projects,
  • Specification of geotechnical studies and laboratory data
  • Interpret the results of field and laboratory tests from ground investigation for design purposes as well as the interpretation and preparation of Basic Geotechnical and / or Interpretive Reports (GBR / GIR).
  • Perform design and analysis using various industry standard engineering software for underground structures, excavations, foundations, seismic site response analyzes, slopes, and etc.
  • Perform the Soil Structure Interaction (ISS) analysis using commercially available finite element software
  • Perform the seismic design of underground structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards in Canada and the United States.
  • Experience supervising sites for infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Interact with engineers from various disciplines and collaborate in the design of building foundations, bridge foundations, tunnels, etc.
  • Prepare design reports, design calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Assist with administrative tasks or management support as assigned by the team leader

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mining, or geological engineering. Master in geotechnical engineering is preferable.
  • OIQ in Quebec or PEng in Canada. PE or CEng is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and / or geotechnical design with a proven track record in delivering project plans, analyzes, design and preparation of deliverables for infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge of the design of soil-structure interactions under various soil conditions.
  • Experience in managing small design teams
  • Experience in supervising site works and site design changes
  • Experience in financial management of projects
  • Bilingual (English and French).
  • Experience in marine or offshore geotechnical design and some practical experience in designing tunnels or caverns, on soft or hard ground, is advantageous.

 Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mining or Geological Engineering. Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is highly preferable.
  • P.Eng in Canada. Additional PE and / or CEng is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of geotechnical design experience with proven record of delivering project plans, analyzes, design and preparation of deliverables for infrastructure and building projects
  • Strong knowledge in structural or soil / rock-structure interaction design
  • Experience in management and coordination of small design teams
  • Experience in supervising site works and performing site design changes
  • Experience in financial management of projects
  • Bi-lingual (English and French)
  • Experience in off shore or marine geotechnical design and some experience in tunnel or cavern design, in soft or hard ground, is advantageous.
