Job Description

  Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 26 US office locations and an office in Peru. The firm was established in 1991 and has experienced sustained growth since then. GLA is currently seeking a full-time Project Geotechnical Engineer, Engineering Geologist, or multi-disciplinary geoscience professional to provide support for civil/site infrastructure, solid waste, mining, and environmental remediation projects. Projects may include geotechnical, surface water, groundwater, and related design for water and wastewater facilities, schools, highways and bridges, commercial development, solid waste management facilities, and mining facilities. Projects also may include significant regulatory compliance components. Office Location: Petaluma, California Required Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or closely-related discipline • California PE, GE, PG, CHg, and/or CEG required or obtained within 2 years • Additional PE licenses in other jurisdictions a plus, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within 6 months of hire • Minimum 3 years of technical experience, including but not limited to: ✓ Geotechnical engineering for infrastructure projects ✓ Geotechnical construction observation projects ✓ Geotechnical field investigations ✓ Landfill design ✓ Engineering geology and environmental geoscience ✓ Groundwater hydrology and monitoring • Strong project management, proposal writing, oral, and written communication • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities • Capability to work well independently and with a team of engineering professionals working in other office locations • Coordinate and/or manage a variety of geotechnical-related projects • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and geotechnical and hydrogeological analysis/characterization software • Ability to travel up to about 40% of the time • Existing established client relationships a plus • CADD experience a plus • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus Candidate Must: • Be eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen GLA offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, and 401(k) retirement plan.
